Marriage Assistance

The funds of the scheme comprised the contribution from Government of Kerala, contribution collected from members of the scheme, interest from Bank deposits etc which is being utilized for payment of various benefits to members of the scheme and administrative expenditure. The corpus fund would be deposited as short term fixed deposit. The fund is mainly utilized for the disbursement of multi faceted benefits to like Retirement Benefit, Maternity Benefit, Marriage Benefit, Medical Assistance, Scholarship to children of the workers, Death benefit etc. to the members.

 

• Marriage Benefit:- A marriage benefit of Rs. 10,000/- is given to the members, for the marriage of their two daughters and to the women members of the scheme, having at least one year continuous service in the Scheme.
• Loan for marriage:- members who have remitted the subscriptions for more than 10 years are eligible for a loan for conducting the marriage of their daughters. An amount equivalent to 75% of the 50% of total amount remitted as subscription, as interest free loan which would be repaid within 3 years is given as loan.
